Dividing Large Entrance Mats into Manageable Sections
When a building opens in phases, entrance mat panels should be assigned to the areas and dates where they will be used. The delivery and installation plan needs to distinguish staged completion from the mat's physical panel arrangement.

Selection considerations
Map entrances to the opening programme and identify which floors or thresholds will be final at each stage. Record temporary access arrangements separately from the permanent design. Avoid installing a custom mat against an unfinished recess simply to satisfy an early delivery date.
Ask the supplier to confirm the approved section layout and how identified panels are handled. Keep each panel associated with its entrance and orientation. A large assembly delivered in parts should not be mixed with panels intended for another opening that has a similar footprint.
Arrange acceptance and protection for completed entrances while nearby construction continues. Record the delivered panels, outstanding items and final inspection date by zone. At handover, reconcile the phased delivery records into one permanent location register for the operator.
